with 4 comments

okay friends! I’m reaching the home stretch!

I’m able to do SIXTY pushups. Can you believe it?

If you don’t remember, I started this blog saying that I’m only able to do SIXTEEN pushups.

Wow. This really shows that if you put your mind to something you can accomplish…

oh, and thank you so much Francois, Robin and Jamie for all your friendly comments all the time. you guys are real pals, and I really hope to meet you all in person some day :-)

update on my 100 push up progress

with 2 comments

hey, I haven’t really talked about my progress on the 100 push up challenge. yep I’m still doing it. I’m starting up on week 5.

guess how many consecutive push ups I’m able to do now? 43. I think 43 is pretty impressive, considering that I could only do 16 four weeks ago.

I realize that I haven’t been keeping tabs on my fitness progress lately. I’ve just been busy.
Anyway, in just two weeks, I’ve gone from being able to do sixteen push ups to being able to do thirty one push ups!

Also, I found this incredible ab exercise: the bicycle crunch -

note: this isn’t actually me, doing the exercise…
link: http://health.yahoo.com/experts/healthieryou/3577/the-only-ab-movement-youll-ever-need/

I’ve been doing this bicycle crunch for a little more than a week. I see a noticeable difference already. My abs are starting to show up. I starting using a milk carton as my weight, it’s pretty challenging but you can feel the burn afterwards.

Look out, ladies! Here I come ;-)

day 3 of 100 push up challenge!

without comments

whoa. Today was really tough for me. The max for level 5 is 15, and I basically got to 10 and then did the rest with really bad form. When I was at 15, my arms couldn’t support me to push me all the way up, so I shifted my hand position a little farther out to make it easier.

Yeah, I don’t think I’m honestly ready for week 2. I think I’m going to replay week 1 and hopefully I’ll be comfortable with this next time.

Unfortunately, this means I won’t be able to do 100 push ups in 6 weeks. The good thing is I’m not in a hurry… and it’s good to take the time to get fit :-)

Fitness Challenge! 100 push ups

with one comment

I just found this website one hundred push ups with instructions on how to be able to do (surprise!) 100 push ups in six weeks.

Thinking this would be kind of a piece of cake, I got on the ground and tested my mettle.

I got out a mere sixteen push ups. SIXTEEN. I kid you not. AND it was hard work. I was about to drop to the ground at around nine or ten, so I imagined that I was doing it to impress a girl. Needless to say, the girl was pointing and laughing as I gasped for breath on the carpet.

Okay, so I decided that I’ll give this website a try.

Let it be known, henceforth and by the sanctity of the trust in this blog (which nobody reads, but anyway…) that I will train and be the master of ONE HUNDRED PUSH UPS. And then maybe I’ll train to run a marathon or train to become a professional body builder and then a model, but first things first and no counting my chickens ;-)

Edit: To REALLY PROVE MY DEDICATION TO THIS CAUSE, I HAVE SENT MR. SPEIRS (the webmaster) AN EMAIL TO BE ADDED TO HIS TAKE THE CHALLENGE PAGE. SEE? NOW I HAVE NO EXCUSES :-(

Edit #2: check it out. Mr. Speirs himself has blessed me with a comment down below. Thanks buddy!
